DNA is found in every cell in the human body. This is why the laboratory experts could use alternative DNA sources to be used for the DNA test. Some alternative DNA sources are swab sample, blood stains, cigarette butts, clothing, hair, and even a licked envelope. I guess those who would like to do a paternity test secretly commonly use these sources. I realized that people really need these alternative DNA sources because a lot of situations could push them to do so. If for instance the pregnant woman is not sure of who is the father of her child, she could easily get DNA samples without telling them to undergo Paternity testing. She could even rush the results in most cases if she would like to get it fast and accurate.
A paternity test is getting more common nowadays. I think it is a good thing because a lot of people would be surer before building their own families or before marrying the father or mother of their kid.
Proving a relationship through DNA testing is the best option to take when there is uncertainty. Alleged fathers do not have to be hesitant about this procedure because it is possible to keep the info away from them. But after proving that they are responsible then a woman has the best evidence in the positive DNA test result.
